Natasha grew up in Northern California, where she has been photographing since she was an adolescent; capturing people and the moments that surround her. In junior high school, she took her 1st photography class and was fascinated by the developing process. It wasn’t until she was an adult that Natasha started to take her photography more seriously, when an encouraging friend recognized her ‘eye’ and supported her work by giving to her, her first manual camera. Since then, she has been developing her skills through digital photography.
In 2003, Natasha moved to Portland, Oregon. She is a recent graduate from Portland State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Women’s Studies. While in attendance at Portland State, Natasha took many photography classes and had fun experimenting with some of the alternative processes of photography like cyanotypes, cliche verre and image transfers.
